Please join us for the 1st Infantry Division DIVARTY, HHBN, and HHB informational town hall meeting on 3 August 2022 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (1800-1900) at the Riley Conference Center (459 Godfrey Ave. on Fort Riley).

This meeting is held in-person and all Family members are welcome to attend as the Command Team joins us remotely from Europe.

Another bittersweet day for the Battery and Brigade. Today we said goodbye to SSG Lane and presented her with the Meritorious Service Medal, as she moves forward in her career with a PCS to Eglin Air Force Base (rough assignment 😉). During her time as a BR1 Leader, SSG Lane simultaneously served as the battery’s Victim Advocate, the President of the 1ID Sergeant Audie Murphy Club, and the Platoon Sergeant for our signal team and S6 personnel…WOW! Her ability to balance to succeed in all positions while still maintaining a healthy work/life balance is a true testament to her professionalism and ability to take care of Soldiers!

A bittersweet day as we said farewell to SGT De Leon. SGT De Leon has served as the floor chief in the S-1 shop for the last year where he made it his daily mission to make everyone he encountered better.

SGT De Leon, it’s because of people like you - true professionals, who excel in every aspect of both their personal and professional lives, always taking care of teammates - both up and down the Chain of Command, that we remain a lethal and ready organization.

Best of luck as you move forward, you will be missed!

Due to inclement weather, Fort Riley and Irwin Army Community Hospital are operating with minimal manning and limited services on Thursday, March 10, 2022.

IACH patient appointments will be rescheduled.

Deployment Operations continue as scheduled.

PCS Summit will be rescheduled.

Fort Riley CYS child development centers and all other CYS services are closed. Manned Fort Riley MWR Fitness Centers are closed.

Grant and Parker Access Control Points are closed. Henry, Trooper, Four Corners, Ogden Gates and 12th Street remain open. Visitor Control Center maintains normal hours of operation.

Exchange Main PX and Forsyth Food Court are open 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Custer Hill Food Court and Dunkin Donuts is closed.

Big Red One Shoppette (on Custer Hill) and Forsyth Express are open 10 a.m. - 11 p.m. All other Shoppettes are closed.

Troop schools is closed.

Commissary is open 11 a.m. - 8 p.m.

Great Preliminary Marksmanship Instruction led by SSG Walsh and the Target Acquisition PLT. Well planned, well rehearsed, and well resourced - this is what good training looks like. And - like a big foot sighting - a few Chief Warrants and Field Grade Officers showed us what leading by example is all about!

Our Holiday Block Leave is ending soon and most of you are preparing to return to Fort Riley. Due to recent events across our nation, flights have been delayed, and even cancelled.

DO NOT PANIC!

Utilize your NCO Support Channel and the Chain of Command, monitor local news outlets, and flight schedules. Work with the airline to see what your options are and follow up with your leaders with your updated flight schedule.
