A severe winter storm is projected to impact FRKS this weekend potentially disrupting operations next week (06 JAN). For those affected by inclement weather, contact your chain of command immediately. The safety of our Soldiers and Families is our #1 priority. Do not worry if weather hinders or prevents safe return to the local area coming off HBL – company command teams have authority to extend/adjust absences of their personnel, so long as they are fully informed. Those already back in the local area should check their phones regularly for updates to the winter weather advisory. To receive the latest on base closures and road conditions in/around FRKS, all Service Members should enroll or update their contact info with the DOD’s emergency mass notification system, “Alert!”

Timings for first call on Monday (06 JAN) may change based on weather impacts. Soldiers, particularly those residing off post, will report telephonically to their leadership if road conditions do not permit safe travel to first formation on Monday morning. The Pacesetter BN Prepares for NTC with Base Defense Live-Fire Exercise

This week, 541st DSSB conducted a rigorous base defense live-fire exercise, honing tactical skills and reinforcing readiness in preparation for the National Training Center (NTC) rotation.

The training focused on defensive operations, perimeter security, and rapid response to simulated threats, ensuring our Soldiers are mission-ready and prepared to execute under realistic combat conditions.

The Pacesetters remain committed to building lethal, disciplined, and cohesive teams capable of defending critical assets and achieving mission success. Stay tuned as we continue to sharpen our edge for NTC!
