We celebrated our last day of media with a Maker challenge to build palm trees, sand castles, ice cream cones, flip flops and other summery items out of legos and Keva planks. Their designs were so creative! Happy summer, everyone! š“šš©“š¦š š
The Summer Reading Club at Washington County Free Library has begun! Sign up today at https://www.washcolibrary.org/src or visit any WCFL library branch. Students can read on their own or with family and earn prizes and raffle entries, plus participate in fun events throughout the summer.
Our hallway is a book recommendation billboard this week for Read Across America! It's been so much fun seeing which book each class chose to recommend.
We passed our book fair sales goal today! Thank you, everyone, for supporting our school library and helping spread #bookjoy! We especially want to thank our wonderful parent and grandparent volunteers. This would not be possible without you. Thank you!
Animal Research Reports by Mrs. Whiteās Pre K
The Pre K students in Katie Whites Class did an excellent job with these animal research reports! Check out the videos they made using the ChatterPix app!
Edited to add VIVIANās awesome jellyfish report!
Pre K students in Joanna Hoch's Class did a really nice job researching animals on Pebble Go and creating animated videos to share what they learned! Check out their presentations here.
Mrs. Whiteās Pre K class made them too ā Iāll share those as soon as we get the last few added.
Itās time! The book fair is set up and all ready for students to shop on Tuesday and Thursday!
Here goes nothing! Landen from Mrs. Hoch's Class won a chance to print an item of his choice on our 3D printer as one of our first ever prints as part of a reward drawing for having all books in on time. He chose a Millennium Falcon model that prints upright with no supports and a print time of 7 and a half hours. So here we go! Iāll be checking in via the webcam on the @MakerBot app as it prints!
