Update: Boonsboro Police has taken a statement and has seen the video below - they believe its connected with other property damage that occurred.

We will be making some upgrades to further weight down the library and further secure it in place.

At 3:11 AM we had a Vandal kick over our library. If you can help us identify the Culprit?

Thank you to the kind couple who noticed this morning the Library on the ground and who attempted to reset it. If you can identify them too so I can extend my gratitude please send me a private message.

Bowie keeps an eye on our treat levels- alerted me that the container of Dog Treats was empty. No worries friends- fresh Milk-Bones were added this morning for the neighborhood pups!

Did you see us yesterday out at the Boonsboro Food Truck Festival? Have library will travel 🧡

We’ve been open almost a year now and it’s important we keep spreading the word about our Library. Thank you to all our donors who provide overstock to make a pop event like yesterday happen. Over 3/4 of the books distributed yesterday were new or read once. How cool!

Hi Readers!

It’s been a while since we’ve posted- the library has been running very smoothly with community members taking and leaving books freely.

We did notice this week some very worn books as well as magazines left. We kindly ask that you refrain from donating magazines and only leave gently used books.

All books with damage or excess wear will be removed as will magazines 🧡

In celebration of National Parks Week 2021 the Little Orange Free Library received a very special donation from Appalachian Trail section hiker Pigtails 🥾

These donations are NEW children’s books, Pigtails approved, encourage all to enjoy and respect our Nation’s beautiful national parks.
