Your student may have come home after school yesterday squealing about pigs and coins and slime, leaving you completely confused 🙂 Our PTA Vice President, Jackie, came around to all of the classrooms yesterday to build excitement for next week’s Piggy Penny Wars 🐷 Grades will be competing against each other to have the most points. The grade with the most points will get to either silly string, pie, or slime their teacher! If the entire school raises $1,000, our principal, Mrs. Ring will kiss a real pig! 💋🐽

So how does this work exactly? Each grade has their own pig that will want to be fed each morning. Students will want to feed their grades’ pig PENNIES and PAPER BILLS ($1, $5, $10, etc) as this gives them positive points. SILVER COINS (nickels, dimes, and quarters) take points AWAY therefore students will want to feed any of the other pigs those coins.

A flyer will be coming home Friday with further explanation. There will also be a way to feed the pigs online which can be shared with family and friends. This option gives your child’s grade DOUBLE positive points!

Points will be calculated each day so students know where they stand and to help them decide where they want to put their coins the next day!

All funds raised will be going into Field Day at the end of the year which is being completely updated and revamped with new, fun, and exciting games and events. It’s kinda gonna be a pig deal 😆

This past week we celebrated National Random Acts of Kindness Day by having kindness grams for sale. And let us tell you, there was SO MUCH KINDNESS. Our PTA assembled almost 1,800 (!!!!) kindness grams for students and staff. We were blown away by their excitement and their desire to give to each other. Thank you everyone for another fun event!

Information will be coming soon regarding the fun we have planned for March! Let’s just say it will involve some friendly (and possibly intense) competition between grades…….🤔🤭

Good evening Greenbrier families! We are loving all the excitement this week with giving kindness grams! We are still accepting orders at school and online (link below) until lunch is over on Friday. The grams will be distributed to your child’s classroom by the end of the week ❤️

Let’s fill Greenbrier Elementary School with a ton of smiles by encouraging our students to be kind to one another by giving Kindness Grams! They will be on cale next Tuesday-Friday before school and over lunch. Kindness Grams include a cheerful card (see picture below) that is personalized from the student along with a friendship bracelet. Below are some examples but we have SO MANY different options. Not only is this a great opportunity to encourage kindness but it also helps support the PTA in continuing to improve our school and our students’ experience.

Each kindness gram is $1 and there is also an option for the whole class to receive one for $10. Students may bring in cash or check (made out to Greenbrier Elementary PTA) any day next week. Below is also an online payment option, which may come in handy pending the weather next week ❄️ 🤦🏽‍♀️

We decided at our meeting last night that the proceeds from the upcoming restaurant night at Red Robin will go towards Field Day this year. We want to see you on Thursday so we can make this year's field day the best! P.S. Mr. Gray has stated he would be willing to do a dunk tank on field day. 😉

Merchandise sale ends tomorrow!! We will accept orders through tomorrow due to today’s snow day. You can also order online at the link attached. Orders will be sent home tomorrow with your kiddos! There will be another opportunity to purchase later in the spring🙂

The Greenbrier Elementary Merchandise sale will run until February 6th. We will have another sale in the spring. All proceeds go towards the PTA. Thank you for your support!
