Cultural Heritage Center- #HispanicHeritageMonth2024
Preserving cultural heritage sites is vital for understanding our shared history and fostering community resilience. The U.S. Department of State is dedicated to this mission worldwide!
The Cultural Heritage Center recently held a workshop in Mexico City in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy and the U.S. Ambassador's Fund for Cultural Preservation. This initiative resulted in the creation of a virtual tour of The Plaza de las Tres Culturas, highlighting community voices and perspectives. The tour is available in Spanish and English and aims to raise awareness of this significant cultural site.
The Plaza de las Tres Culturas is the location of many important events in Mexico's history. Aztec ruins, the Church of Santiago, and the Chihuahua Building represent the layers of Mexico's history. The square serves as a touchstone for remembering past tragedies and the resilience of the Mexican people. Learn more: https://artsandculture.google.com/story/fgXhSpf3CYPGOA
