Check out this postcard from our international fisheries policy team!
They were in Cyprus last month for a meeting of the International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas, working to advance the sustainability of fisheries across the Atlantic region. World Rivers Day
It's #WorldRiversDay! Over 313 rivers are shared by two or more countries; that’s over 40% of the world’s population that shares sources of freshwater. OES helps implement The White House Action Plan on Global Water Security to strengthen cooperation and avoid conflict over shared waters.
As nations manage impacts of climate change, mass migration and political unrest, OES has worked over the past 50 years with communities and partners around the world towards a water secure world as outlined in the U.S. Global Water Strategy.
