Join OCA Saint Louis Chapter - Asian Pacific American Advocates, TAO + LEE Architects and Cinema St. Louis for a free screening of the documentary Day One this Saturday.

The documentary follows refugee teenagers over the course of a year, and how they manage grief and loss while attending school in St. Louis. Donations will be collected to support the International Institute and our work with refugee families.

The Youth Mentoring program at the International Institute of St. Louis is in need of volunteer mentors! Refugee youth are paired one-on-one with a volunteer mentor to build community and advance toward the youth's educational, vocational, and social goals.

Volunteer mentors commit to at least 6 months of mentoring that includes mentor training, at least 2 one-on-one interactions with their mentee per month (virtual or in-person), at least 1 group event per month, and regular check-ins with mentee and staff.

Our Immigration Services team works with families to navigate the complicated immigration system. In 2024, 33 families received assistance on their reunification journey and nearly 100 people got help with their employment cards.

These services are vital for individuals and families to navigate the immigration system and ensure they're up to date in their immigration journey.

Thanks to the generosity of a former International Institute teacher, a lot of honey-hungry community members and of course, a bunch of bees, we've raised over $15,000 from sales of jars of honey!

Les Myers sells his honey at the Festival of Nations and occasionally around town at other markets. He donates 100% of profits back to the International Institute.
