Last night, PAL and Community Outreach officers hosted the largest CAPLE (Careers and Pathways to Law Enforcement) meeting ever!

Thanks to the St. Ann Police Department and Captain Clay Farmer, attendees were able to experience a range of police scenarios through a high-tech simulator. The educational and entertaining activity generated lengthy discussions and plenty of room for growth into the figure.

And, of course, there was pizza!

Last night, Officers from The Community Outreach Unit hosted a CAPLE (careers and pathways to law enforcement) meeting at the newly constructed Affton Precinct!

Attendees were treated to a tour of the top-notch facility, had a pizza dinner with night shift officers as they began their shift, and discussed the basics of conducting a traffic stop.

Thank you to the Affton Precinct for having us!

Last week, St. Louis County PAL and St. Louis County Police Department Community Outreach officers proudly participated in the Teen SUPER Summit, co-hosted by Addiction is Real, St. Louis CRUSH, the Drug Enforcement Administration - DEA and planned by our very own Brandon McCrary, Detective Quinn, and PAL board member Erin Johnston and her organization Addiction is Real, Inc.!

Attendees from across the metro region were given the opportunity to hear from highly-motivating speakers as they learned about the dangers of current and emerging drugs, particularly fentanyl. They also witnessed a recreation of a vehicle accident involving drug use.

Shout out to the many in uniform from St. Louis and St. Charles who showed incredible support of this effort.

Last week, PAL and the St. Louis County Police Community Outreach Unit spent an evening playing hours of paintball at Gateway Paintball with PAL, CAPLE, and First Responder Camp members!

It was a great time as we continued to build relationships between police and the youth of the communities we serve. Special shoutout to Eureka Fire Chief Greg Brown, who has been a huge supporter of our programs and one of the leading forces in the First Responder Camp. Enjoy your retirement!

Officer Sierra spent the day with the law enforcement students of North Tech High School as they tackled the challenges of Ryze Adventure Park.

Students focused on physical fitness, team-building, and overcoming personal fears as they climbed and zip-lined through countless obstacles over 40 feet in the air.

Thank you very much for the invitation. It was a blast.

More pictures (and videos in comments) from this week’s PAL kickball kickoff in the Hazelwood and Jennings School Districts, which includes more than 200 kids participating in games and cheering. This is the first year that Jennings School District has joined PAL Kickball, and we're excited to have them on board. A big thanks to all volunteers who made this possible!
