The NKF is excited to announce that the Culpepper Exum Scholarship is now open for applications in Missouri or Kansas!

Eligibility: Applicants must be on dialysis, post-transplant, or within CKD stages 2–5.

TBT to our Award of Excellence where we honored outstanding members of the renal community here in St. Louis. Pictured below is one of our incredible honorees, Cody Wooley, with her mentor Dr. Krista Lentine! Cody Wooley, RN, BSN, and Program Living Donor Coordinator at SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital, has brought joy, comfort, and excellent care like few others have in her role as Program Living Donor Coordinator. Her passion for her patients shines through in her advocacy work, helping those who need a transplant in whatever capacity she can. We here at the NKF are privileged to work with her and witness the positive impact she's had on the renal community in St. Louis more broadly in her role at SSM Health. Congratulations to all of the deserving recipients of this award, your work has made a world of difference in the lives of your patients and community members.

From Sydney the Kidney and the rest of the NKF EMO team, we are wishing you a Happy Halloween. Sydney went as a superhero this year as she delivered birthday presents to kidney patients at St. Louis and Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital! This visit was a part of our quarterly program, Sydney’s Birthday Box, which gets and delivers gifts to children on dialysis. She had a blast and can't wait to return!
