๐ Looking back a year from now, our goal for the Unemployment Insurance (๐จ๐) ๐ก๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ด๐ฎ๐๐ผ๐ฟ ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ด๐ฟ๐ฎ๐บ is to expand our reach and deepen our impact ๐ฅ. We aim to not only assist with navigating the UI system but also to become UI ambassadors, ensuring seamless access to benefits for our community.
By serving as a bridge between the community and the Washington Employment Security Department (ESD), we hope to rebuild trust, especially for those who have developed a distrust of the system. Our vision includes helping individuals with limited English proficiency and those lacking digital literacy skills to ๐๐๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐๐๐ณ๐๐น๐น๐ ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ถ๐๐ฒ ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ถ๐ฟ ๐จ๐ ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ป๐ฒ๐ณ๐ถ๐๐, transforming their experience into a positive one.๐คฉ
Despite being a small team, our commitment to reach as many people as possible remains strong. We aspire to go beyond just navigation, extending our support to new language and cultural communities, spreading the message that help is available. Together, we can make a significant positive difference in the UI experience for everyone. ๐ช

ESD Video #2
๐ In the midst of the pandemic, ๐ก๐ฒ๐ถ๐ด๐ต๐ฏ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ต๐ผ๐ผ๐ฑ ๐๐ผ๐๐๐ฒ, along with our partners and the Washington Employment Security Department (ESD), played a critical role in helping our community navigate the challenging unemployment system. We recognized the urgent need to support those facing difficulties with their Unemployment Insurance (UI) applications and quickly mobilized our efforts.
Our dedicated team transformed into unemployment specialists overnight, providing much-needed guidance. We produced videos in 13 different languages, ensuring everyone had access to the vital information they needed to apply for and receive unemployment benefits.
This initiative was more than just a response to a crisis; it was a testament to our commitment to our community. By staying connected with ESD and leveraging the ๐จ๐ ๐ก๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ด๐ฎ๐๐ผ๐ฟ opportunity, we made a significant impact during those challenging times. ๐
