With the potential for freezing temperatures overnight, our crews are patrolling major streets to distribute salt and reduce ice from building up. While this will help, it is impossible to completely prevent ice from accumulating anywhere.

We are currently in 24-hour response mode. We have a fleet of 50+ vehicles with snow and ice fighting equipment and over 150 crew members either working now or scheduled to work tonight. But we still can't be everywhere at once, and will be focusing our response on 1000+ miles of Seattle's most critical major streets.

Be careful tonight and tomorrow morning. Don't drive if you don't have to, and if you do need to travel please take it slow and be very cautious. We are also counting on everyone to do their part and clear snow & ice from the sidewalks around your homes and businesses.
