🎖️ Cal Poly ROTC Cadets Conquer the Ranger Buddy Competition! 💪
This past weekend, our Cal Poly ROTC male/female team took on the challenge of the Ranger Buddy Competition at Fort Leavenworth, KS—one of the toughest physical and mental tests in Cadet Command.
Over two demanding days, our cadets showcased incredible grit, teamwork, and resilience, pushing through a series of high-intensity events that tested their endurance, tactical skills, and leadership under pressure.
We couldn't be prouder of our Mustangs for representing Cal Poly with such honor, strength, and determination. Outstanding work, cadets! 🇺🇸👏 8th Brigade Army ROTC

Our Color Guard proudly presented the colors at the Cal Poly vs. West Point rugby match! In a hard-fought battle, Cal Poly won 39-31, with our cadets cheering on both teams.

Meet Cadet Nicholas Bender, a Cal Poly ROTC leader, Business major, and Paso Robles native. Inspired by his father’s service, he joined ROTC to pursue leadership and a future in the National Guard. A Kappa Sigma brother and dedicated volunteer, he balances academics, training, and service while embracing ROTC’s values of Leadership & Excellence.
