Today, we honor the brave Americans who faced unimaginable odds during the attack on Pearl Harbor 83 years ago. On Dec. 7, 1941, in just 90 minutes, the Imperial Japanese Navy devastated our Pacific Fleet. Despite the losses, their courage united our nation and forged the path to victory in World War II. Let us reflect on their sacrifice and ensure their legacy lives on in our Navy's core values of Honor, Courage, and Commitment.
