Even horses need a day off to themselves. BEMER therapy for horses involves using a blanket and potentially leg cuffs that emit a pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) to potentially improve microcirculation, promote relaxation, and aid in recovery and regeneration

How you ever seen a donkey play basketball? On March 2nd 2025 at 1:00 pm members of the Modesto Police Department will be taking on the Modesto Fire Department in our second annual donkey basketball. The game will take place at Modesto Junior College Gym (1200 Coldwell Ave). Tickets cost $30 which includes a tri tip sandwich for lunch. This event is open to the public and youth is encouraged to attend. The proceeds will go to the Modesto PAL. If you don’t care about basketball but want to see a donkey up front this is also an opportunity to see one up close. If interested in tickets comment here or send us a message.

Our annual prime rib dinner is back and will be held April 19th! This event has allowed us to provide for our horses, improve our training and give back to the community. Due to everyone’s support we have outgrown our previous location at the Oakdale Rodeo Grounds so this year we’ll be having our dinner at the Bianchi Community Center at 110 S 2nd Ave, Oakdale. Tickets are $75 a piece or $600 for a table of eight. If anyone is interested in purchasing tickets, please send us a message or contact Luis Arroyo at 209-556-8742. Dust off those boots and come join us for a fun night filled with amazing food and prizes.

Mounted officers have been staying busy assisting with quality of life issues in the month of December. One benefit to using a horse is the ability to go into places a vehicle is not able to and have a higher level of visibility.

Earlier today members of our team participated in a trail trials clinic at Running I Ranch. Teams spent the day participating in several stations while being exposed to various stimulants. Very good experience in an amazing location.
