Don Samuel, is a long time community member and resident of Planada. We took this picture last week as our construction team completed work on the interior construction of his home. In 2023 the flood left his home seriously damaged. Having survived extensive damage and tremendous loss, Samuel was very pleased with the renovation.

Delegations from CA Habitat for Humanity are at the Capital in Sacramento today reinforcing the need for Habitat Housing programs throughout the State. Housing and Community Development Agency is a vital partner and the only source for new homeownership housing.

Habitat for Humanity’s free, in-person Financial Literacy workshops are happening this Saturday, January 25 at 10:00 AM (Spanish) and 1:00 PM (English) at the Los Banos Community Center, 645 7th Street.

Learn how to become a Habitat homeowner and leave with a better understanding of budgeting, saving and financing a home in today’s market.

These workshops are open to the public.
