We are back at it! After a pause in most services for a few weeks we are DELIGHTED to return to full services this week!

We will start with the less happy update: unfortunately, due to a temporary funding shortfall, our mobile programs will be paused for two more weeks. We continue to provide food to our coalition members and our homebound seniors, but we have paused mobile programs.

Here’s the good news! 🎉🎉 In two weeks, programs will resume as usual the week of October 21st.

We are very sorry, we unfortunately have to cancel mobile programs again this week due to lack of funding. We have some money coming, friends, and this challenging time will not last forever, but right now we are down to the bare minimum. Call 211 for additional resources, and we will be back out as soon as we can.

As this week comes to a close, the need is more dire. Expected funds have not appeared, and we are likely to have to pause services next week.

We believe the community cares about the tens of thousands of people we serve, and we want to give you a chance to support us before it’s too late.

You can donate online or mail a check to the address below, but keep in mind that online donations take up to two weeks to process.

Times are hard for everyone and the private donors who support us, many who were clients before they started to donate, are feeling the economic pinch as much as anyone. If you are able, please consider what you feel called to give today!

🚨 Urgent Appeal from FIGS! 🚨

We need your help! The Food Initiative of Greater Stanislaus (FIGS) is facing a serious financial crisis that threatens to disrupt the essential services we provide to thousands of local families each month.

Since COVID-19, rising expenses and decreased donations have put us in a tough spot. By mid-September, we may have to pause our programs if we don’t receive immediate support. Our vital services include:

🥕 Mobile Pantry: 110,000 lbs of groceries for 4,000+ residents each month
👚 Clothes Closet: Clothing for 200+ families monthly
🍲 Homebound Delivery: Nutritious food for 100+ senior and disabled households per month
🍎 Food Coalition: 32,000 lbs of food to 33 organizations each month
🍼 Mobile Programs: 10,000 diapers and 1,000 hygiene kits annually

Even in our agriculturally rich region, many struggle with food access. Your support can make all the difference!
