The shelter is mainly for overnight stays and the necessities. During the daytime, they help the residents find jobs and have transportation to get them there.

Hess’ North Dakota Veterans Employee Resource Group (ERG) organized a winter gear and clothing drive for Minot’s Project BEE and Men's Winter Refuge to help underserved men, women and children. The residents of our men's homeless shelter were blessed on Thursday with an AMAZING Thanksgiving dinner prepared and delivered by Theresa and Shawn Wynecoop of Bowbells and her daughter Chelsi & family of Minot. Thank you SO MUCH to Theresa, Shawn, Chelsi, Martin, Seairra, Elliesia, Noah and Anastazyia for the delicious turkey dinner, awesome side dishes, and even homemade cards for our residents made by the kids. Wow!! πŸ™β€πŸ˜€

Another blessed week at our men's homeless shelter saw generous donations come from the local Toyota dealership and Gate City Bank. We are so thankful and humbled for all of the donations that help us continue all of our vital services! The annual Twice Blessed matching grant campaign sponsored by the Inspiritus Community Health Foundation (formerly St. Joseph’s) is now underway!

The Men’s Winter Refuge has once again been selected to the $15,000 match level for Twice Blessed, which means if we receive a total of $15,000 in donations before Dec. 31, Inspiritus will DOUBLE IT!

Generous donations and volunteer projects made this past week another BLESSED week for the Men's Winter Refuge!! The following are pictured below: Keegan Mason and members of Troop 437, who painted our wheelchair ramp and picnic table for Keegan's Eagle Scout project; Larry Eidsness of the Minot Elks Lodge 1089 presenting $500 from the Elks Gratitude Grant to purchase groceries and supplies for our men's homeless shelter; and Tanya Hennix from the Minot branch of Nexus-PATH Family Healing presenting a wagon full of groceries for our shelter and hotel residents. DID YOU KNOW?? In addition to our shelter services, the Men's Winter Refuge provides free transportation for between 500-800 individuals each year to a local food pantry? Our bus picks up passengers every Wednesday at Milton Young Tower and Henry Tower and transports to and from the Lord's Cupboard. For more information about this service, call us at 701-822-2585 .... and if you see our bus cruising around Minot, give us a wave hello! πŸ˜€β€πŸ™
