Brigadier Doug Pashley, the commander of Australiaโ€™s 1st Brigade in Darwin, visited 3d Marine Littoral Regiment, 3d Marine Division. Pashley met with U.S. Marine Corps Col. John G. Lehane, the unit's commanding officer, to discuss the mission, organization, equipment, and capabilities, in order to enhance future interoperability.

This week's hot shot winner! U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Richard Ross, tiltrotor crew chief with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 268, Marine Aircraft Group 24, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, lays in the back of an MV-22B Osprey during a landing at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. VMM-268 supported a joint-operation gun raid training designed to test and minimize communication gaps while improving mission readiness.

U.S. Marines with 3d Littoral Anti-Air Battalion, 3d Marine Littoral Regiment, 3d Marine Division, performed maintenance on the Marine Air Defense Integrated System on MCBH, in preparation to have it on the field. 3d MLR and U.S. Marine Corps Systems Command are in the process of fielding the MADIS, which will enhance 3d MLRโ€™s air defense capabilities.

๐Ÿ“Schofield Barracks, Hawaii (Dec. 12, 2024)

U.S. Marines with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 268, Marine Aircraft Group 24, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing conducted joint training with U.S. Army Soldiers with Alpha Battery 7th Field Artillery Regiment, 25th Infantry Division Artillery Brigade, 25th Infantry Division. Our Marines made use of the MV-22B Osprey to transport personnel and equipment, supporting a joint-operation gun raid training designed to test and minimize communication gaps while improving mission readiness.

The multi-day competition develops and maintains Marines' rifle and pistol marksmanship skills, exercises technical and tactical proficiency, and improves skills and confidence with various service weapons.
