Yesterday (3/5/2025) at 12:07pm, units were dispatched to US HWY 281 N at Ranch Road 1323 for a Motor Vehicle Accident. The first units began arriving at 12:12pm and found a major 3-vehicle accident with 6-7 critically injured patients, including multiple pin-in’s and the call was immediately upgraded to a Mass Casualty Alarm, which triggers a much larger response as well as prepares our regional hospitals and trauma centers to begin receiving multiple critically injured patients at once. Over 45 Public safety units rapidly responded to the scene, including (4) ground ambulances and (4) helicopters and multiple command units. Ultimately, (2) patients were transported by helicopter to a regional trauma center, (1) patient was transported by ground to a regional trauma center, and (3) patients including two adult and one pediatric patient were pronounced deceased on scene after extensive resuscitative efforts in the field, including the administration of blood products. The crash is under investigation by the Texas Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol.

Please keep these families in your thoughts, hold your loved ones tight, and keep our responders in your thoughts as well.
