SoCal Wildfire Response
E pule kākou (let us pray) as our hearts go out to Southern California. We pray for safety, strength, and resilience during this unimaginable time. 🙏
This devastation is a scene we are all too familiar with. When Lahaina needed us, we responded with haste. The same commitment drives us today as we care for temporary evacuees, emergency responders, and those displaced from their homes in Los Angeles.
We are currently providing meals and emotional and spiritual care at evacuation shelters in Woodland Hills, at the Westwood Recreation Center in LA, and Ritchie Vales Recreation Center in Pacioma. Two additional shelters are likely to open in the coming hours.
𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝘃𝗶𝘃𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽. Please consider donating to provide essential aid – shelter, food, and support through our Emergency Disaster Fund. To partner with us by making a donation, visit salarmy.us/socalfire.
Daily updates on our relief efforts will be posted on our website. We look forward to your visit at https://hawaii.salvationarmy.org/.
A heartfelt mahalo to our energetic, passionate, and selfless bell ringers for sharing their time, energy, and aloha this holiday season!
Every ring of the bell was a symbol of hope, reminding us of the power of community and compassion. Thanks to you, lives were touched, meals were served, and shelter was provided to those in need.
You are the heart of this movement. We are deeply grateful for your kindness and dedication. ❤️

If you haven’t already participated in this beloved tradition, don’t miss out — Christmas Eve is the final day to #MakeAnImpact by donating at a Red Kettle near you.
Your donation, no matter how big or small, goes toward helping friends, neighbors, and community members in need, and brings #HopeForHawaii.
As you’re out and about, doing final Christmas shopping, and see one of our friendly bell ringers, please consider sharing a moment and donating. Mahalo! #RedKettleChallenge
