The Maui Economic Opportunity (MEO) is now accepting applications for their Agricultural Micro Grant Program 5.0. Through this grant they want to increase availability of locally-grown produce, livestock, poultry, and other products.

Deadline: February 25, 2025

They will be giving preference to application from women and Native Hawaiians.

🎍 Kicking off the new year with kadomatsu🎍

Many families in Hawaii will display these bouquets or arrangements outside their front door to symbolize prosperity and good fortune in the next year. Find them at local grocery stores our farmers' markets, and other establishments.

Did you know? You can find two types of kadomatsu. One looks like a bouquet (pictured above) and the other with bamboo, pine branches, and rope.

This challenge is a national business competition with the aims to support startup companies who are developing innovative solutions that address challenges faced by farmers, ranchers, and rural communities.
