So excited for our newest school facility in the district, Kanoelani Elementary School’s Rainbow Lanai! 🌈 such an amazing space for the students, faculty and school family! I obviously had too much fun, catch my failed attempts playing gonggi at the end! 😂😵 #iykyk
Submit testimony (link in bio!) on these 5 key bills to improve school transportation, meals, and learning for Hawaiʻi’s students:
✅ HB861 – Makes school transportation critical infrastructure so we never face bus cancellations again.
✅ HB862 – Expands school bus options to include motorcoaches, small buses, and vans to solve the driver shortage.
✅ HB757 – Free breakfast & lunch for all public school students. No child should go hungry at school!
✅ HB1343 – Bans student phone use during school hours to help kids focus in class.
✅ HB1500 – Stops the DOE from hiking school meal prices beyond what families can afford.
Mahalo for your advocacy!
PS: props to my team for the creative whiteboard artwork!! ✍️🎨

🚌 School Bus Cancellations Update:
I’m deeply concerned about the school bus service cancellations affecting nearly 1,500 students in our district, including 500 from Mililani Middle School. I’ve been talking with Governor Green about issuing an emergency proclamation to allow alternative transportation options, but we need your help now. If you can, please consider helping your neighbors by organizing carpools.
Together, we can support our kids and ensure they get to school safely. I’m committed to finding solutions and preventing this from happening again. Thank you for your support and understanding.🙏🏻
☔️Is your ʻohana prepared for emergencies like a hurricane or other natural disaster?
As your Representative, I’m working hard to put strong systems in place to keep our residents as safe as possible during disaster. Being prepared with the right supplies at home can go a long way in the event of a hurricane or other storm system.
Check to make sure you have:
💧14-day supply of water per person
🥫 Non-perishable foods
🔦 Flashlights
🔋 Batteries
⛑️ First aid supplies & medicine
📻 NOAA alert radio
+ other supplies your family needs. Free resources from the Hawaiʻi Emergency Management Agency are available to help you plan and prepare.
Mahalo, Uncle Evile!

Yesterday, @kitv4 did a story on the recent power outages affecting Mililani Town. Hawaiian Electric says it is due to new changes they’ve implemented in response to the Lahaina fire that triggers an auto shut off when a disturbance is detected, to avoid any potential fires or risk. When this happens, they send an inspector to give the “all clear” but it can take 1-2 hours. I hope Hawaiian Electric can work on a better monitoring system to decrease the amount of time needed to restore power.
Hey Mililani! Please join us for our Show Aloha Signwaving event this Thursday, March 28, 7am, @Mililani Town Center! 🤙🏼
Bring your ohana, neighbors, and friends to share our message of love and neighborhood safety 💙
This is part of our movement to unite our Central Oahu community for public safety. RSVP: reptrishlachica.com
