Fort Riley Pets/Fort Riley Animal Shelter We are a small Animal Shelter in Fort Riley, KS. Many of the animals for adoption have been found on post but not claimed by an owner.

We are serving Fort Riley Residents and reunite them with their lost animals and also adopt out unclaimed and Surrendered animals. Due to limited space and resources we are only able to take in strays found on Fort Riley and surrenders from active duty military personnel, however we do adopt out to Civilians and also work with Rescue Groups in and out of State. Military regulation requires that al

l found animals be held for 3 business days, after which time they are available for adoption. If you would like to put your pet up for adoption but don't want to take them to the shelter we can advertise your pet on facebook and adopt-a-pet. Call or come in for more information. Dior here!
Can someone come and rescue me from this evil place? Please? Pretty please?!?
The folks here had the audacity to say I stink and would need a bath, to which their ring leader happily, almost to happily, agreed and volunteered!
Just when I thought I was getting picked up for cuddles.. she put me in the bath tub😳 and got to work... no privacy whatsoever.
Rude, simply rude..
And then... she used the reversed vacuum monster ( aka blow dryer ) on me.
Yes she kept saying I'm such a good girl and I acted like I was good but deep, deep inside me I had intrusive thoughts of 💩 in her shoes!
Apparently now I'm "squeaky clean and smell like roses", their words not mine, and ready to go to my forever home.

So folks, please get me outta here before they discover nailpolish and bows for dogs 😳

Achilles has made his way on post before and is very friendly!
If you see him, please let us know.
If you are able to catch him, please have him brought to the shelter, so he can be reunited with his owner!

Meet Dior, around 1 year old fully vetted and funny as can be.
Dior prefers calm dogs and cats over hotheads like she is.
She loves attention and sitting on your lap.
Dior will need basic training but should be a fun addition to any family!

What a way to start our mornings; with a sweet and spunky Sophia! Sophia is patiently waiting on a home for the holidays! She is still in such great spirits after being here for 100+ days! Our staff love her very much, and can’t wait for her to find a family who loves her just as much as we do! Ohhh our sweet sweet Sophia, she is our longest resident at 103 days, she is an estimated 6 years old. She is still hanging on and being the best girl! She is very dog selective and connot live with cats. But the rest of Sophia is the best of her, she’s amazing for car rides, vet care, walks, runs and baths. She doesn’t tear up any of her toys or blankets. She is potty trained and has a great grasp of her basic doggy manners! She is so sweet and loves all people and all attention! Although she is an estimated 6 years old, that doesn’t slow her down! She is full of playful and manageable energy! She has never had a bad day, and is always in a playful happy mood! Even if Sophia isn’t the right fit for you, she would appreciate if you could spread the word and hopefully her family is out there, and ready! Fully vetted and ready to go! 🩷🐾

🐾 Dog Park Wednesday 🐾 The pups had such a wonderful time running, sniffing, and playing today! 🐶❤️ With the weather being absolutely perfect this morning, they definitely got their zoomies out! Stop by our shelter during open hours and take home a new best friend! All animals shown are available and ready to go! 🥳
