Our mission helps families that are living with the side effects of hazardous housing - sickness, isolation and hopelessness. Your gift today will provide the critical home repairs needed for local families to stay safe in their own homes.

It doesn’t take a big gift to make a big difference:

$25 can help repair windows to keep out extreme weather.
$45 can provide safety upgrades like grab bars in the home.
$100 can kick start crucial kitchen repairs, ensuring a safe stove and warm meals.
$200 can help with faulty plumbing so a family has clean, running water.

Colin- Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication to Rebuilding Together Greater Des Moines!

Through our paid volunteer time off benefit, F&G team members can give time to causes important to them. This month, we’re featuring our team and the ways they give back to their communities.

Colin Dietrich, our Director, Finance Portfolio Management, is a long-time supporter of Rebuilding Together Greater Des Moines. This organization rehabilitates the homes of low-income homeowners, improving the safety and health of their homes and revitalizing communities. As a House Captain, Colin is a project manager for Rebuilding Day projects, planning the scope of work, directing volunteers and executing renovation projects.

Colin says: “I think volunteering can bring out the best in people. I see it with volunteers and how happy they are to be serving, I see it in the gratitude expressed by those being served and I notice the joy I feel through serving. We are made to serve and finding ways to do just that is important to me.”

Rebuilding Together provides essential no-cost home repairs for veterans and their families. Through our program, we help veterans with no-cost home accessibility modifications and repairs to improve safety and accessibility, increase independence, facilitate aging-in-place and revitalize nonprofits and community centers that serve and support veterans.
