Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig and a 13-member delegation have just returned from a trade mission to Costa Rica and Guatemala. The purpose of the mission was to foster trade opportunities as the State of Iowa advocates for the high-quality of Iowa corn, soybeans, pork and beef products produced in Iowa for export markets.
Each year, Secretary Mike Naig has the opportunity to visit with many Iowans across the state – in their homes, farms, businesses, schools, fairs and

Shout out to the Department’s team of veterinarians who works tirelessly - rain or shine - in the livestock barns at the Iowa State Fair! Throughout the 11-day event, they conduct health checks on swine & sheep and review tags & paperwork, ensuring each animal meets exhibition requirements. A big thank you to all the veterinarians and staff in our Animal Industry Division for their dedicated efforts to make sure livestock coming into the Fair are healthy! #IowaAg #IowaStateFair
