The Iowa State Fair Police Department proudly assisted with the Mitchellville Police Department Shop with a Cop event today. Five officers from the ISFPD along with Bette Morris, Secretary for the Administration building, partnered with the Mitchellville Police Department, Iowa State Patrol, Urbandale Police Department, and the Polk County Sheriff's Office. The Iowa State Fair also provided a bus to assist in transporting the 26 children to Target and back to the Mitchellville Police Department to help ensure they had gifts for Christmas.

We're excited to host the 2024 Jolly Holiday Lights at the Iowa State Fairgrounds this Nov 29 thru Jan 4. To help with traffic, we're sharing a route map. For Jolly Holiday Lights, enter the Fairgrounds through Gate 2 at East 33rd & East University. Follow the guides through the grounds, and you will exit from Gate 6 onto Dean Ave south of the Fairgrounds. We wish each of you the happiest holiday season!

This sweet puppy was found on the fairgrounds about 30 minutes ago. If you know who the owner is have them contact the Iowa State Fair Police at 262-3931. UPDATE - the owner picked up their pup right away. Thanks for the help!

About 30 minutes ago we ran out of room at the SEP Jr High and needed to close the Park and Ride at SEP today. Parking is still available in our North Lots, currently Lots B & C. Also the DART Park and Ride is still available at 7th & Center St or the Iowa State Capitol locations.
