National Weatherization Day on October 30th is a time to celebrate all of the success of the Weatherization Assistance Program, which wouldn’t be possible without the dedicated Weatherization workforce.

In celebration of National Weatherization Day on October 30th, here are a few low cost ways to save energy in your home:
- Turn down the thermostat at night and when you’re away from home or install a set back or smart thermostat.
- In winter, open curtains or blinds of windows that face the sun during the day and close them at night.
- Check your furnace filter once a month, such as when you get your utility bill, and clean or replace if needed.
- Replace incandescent light bulbs with LEDs.
