Splish, splash, and sing along! 🎶💦 Our Backfloat Baby program is all about water acclimation, building confidence, and having fun together.

Each class is designed with little ones in mind, featuring age-appropriate songs, games, and simple skills that make learning to love the water a joyful experience. By following a consistent routine from start to finish, we help babies feel comfortable, confident, and in control—essential steps for building trust and promoting progress in and out of the pool. ✨

Helping kids set goals builds confidence, teaches responsibility, and sets them up for success—both in and out of the pool! ✨🏊‍♂️

Here’s how to make goal-setting fun and meaningful for your child in 2025:

1️⃣ Ask them what excites them: Start with open-ended questions like, "What’s something new you’d like to learn or try this year?" This sparks their imagination and ownership of the goal.

2️⃣ Keep it specific and achievable: Guide them to choose goals that are clear and manageable, like "Swim across the pool" instead of "Be a better swimmer."

3️⃣ Write it down or draw it: Help them create a visual reminder of their goal, like a checklist, drawing, or vision board to keep them motivated.

4️⃣ Break it into steps: Teach them to think about the small actions they’ll need to achieve their goal, such as practicing for 10 minutes a day or trying something new every week.

5️⃣ Celebrate progress: Acknowledge even the smallest milestones along the way to build their confidence and excitement to keep going.

What comes after you reach a life goal? For Regan Smith, the answer is twofold: More goals, and a chance to not think about goals at all.

The U.S. Olympic swimmer and FOSS Alumna spent years of her life and countless hours in the pool preparing for the Olympic games in Paris in the summer of 2024. The Games were a resounding success for her, winning five medals total. 🙌🎉

We celebrate alllll the wins here at FOSS! 🎉

Meet our student Maddie! Maddie has taken M1 8 times. She has always been more of a hesitant swimmer and finding the right teacher to build trust with her has taken some time. With commitment from her family and all the staff at our Plymouth school, she has mastered her safety stroke and will be progressing to new skills this Winter Quarter! 😁💙💪

As a reward, Maddie got to jump into the pool with her teacher and Plymouth's Assistant Manager, Stephanie! 💙💛
