Last week, we gathered to celebrate "Colorado Perspectives: Visions in Photography"! This exhibition, a collaboration between Denver Arts & Venues and Colorado Photographic Arts Center, showcases a rich array of photographic styles and approaches to the medium, from traditional approaches to innovative, experiemental processes.

🙌 WORK WITH US 🙌 If you're dynamic arts and culture advocate, we want you! Denver Arts & Venues is seeking new members for the Denver County Cultural Council (DCCC) and Denver Commission on Cultural Affairs (DCCA).

The DCCC reviews grant applications for Denver's Tier III Scientific & Cultural Facilities District - SCFD funds and determines the allocations to each qualifying organization, distributing 13.5% of Denver County's total SCFD tax funds to local arts, cultural and scientific nonprofits.

The DCCA serves Denver Arts & Venues by overseeing the Denver Public Art program, serving as trustees of Denver's cultural roadmap, advising on arts and culture issues and acting as ambassadors to the community.

Congratulations to the 2024 recipients of the Social Impact Artist Award: Jeff Campbell, Chelsea Kaiah and Suzi Q. Smith! Denver Arts & Venues and the Bonfils-Stanton Foundation are honored to recognize each of these creatives driving social change through their art with a $50,000 award to support their work.

Then ➡️ Now The cornerstone of the McNichols Building was laid on April 11, 1907, setting the foundation for the then-Carnegie Library that would become a center of learning in Civic Center Park. That tradition continued when Denver Arts & Venues reopened the building in 2012 as a contemporary hub for arts and culture for the people of Denver, including restoration of some of the building's original features. Stop by and check out this piece of Denver history - plus FREE art exhibitions on the second and third floors! Open most days 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
