Energy Outreach Colorado functions through our many partnerships with strong community organizations like BuCu West Development Association. These community partners, delivering client facing services like our Bill Payment Assistance and LEAP application outreach, are true superheroes. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Gaby joined the BuCu West team, joining forces with other leaders to tackle the barriers that prevented the community from accessing essential resources. Inspired by her mother, who was always supportive of her neighbors and community, Gaby has also dedicated her life to helping others and showing them the power of their own voice.

When Mariee faced the imminent threat of losing her electricity, she felt overwhelmed. As a single mother attending evening English classes at Swansea Elementary School while searching for employment, her increasing energy bill only added to her stress. Thankfully, community navigators at her school connected her with us and we were able to provide assistance and prevent disconnection. "I'm so grateful for these programs that support our community," she shares. With this burden lifted, Mariee can now focus on what truly matters; building a stable future for her family. ✨
