Dear Education Community,

America’s students deserve greater opportunities to succeed, and that starts with strengthening our public schools, where 90% of all students—and 95% of students with disabilities—learn and grow. Strong public schools, along with vital community programs and resources, are essential for families to thrive.

The recent threats to the Department of Education and funding put critical programs like Medicaid at risk, endangering the essential support that students and schools depend on. As lawmakers prioritize tax cuts, it’s our students and communities who will be forced to shoulder the burden.

On March 19, educators, students, families, and allies will unite—across the nation, across our state, and right here in Bellevue. Together, we will celebrate our school communities, standing as a powerful reminder to our elected leaders: We will protect our students. We will defend our public schools. And we will not back down.

Join us as we stand united for our students, our schools, and our future! Wear red and bring your energy as we wave signs and make our voices heard. This is our chance to show our strength, raise awareness, and demand the respect and resources we deserve!

📅 Date: March 19th, 2025
📍 Location: Your school
⏰ Time: 30 minutes before school starts

Every sign, every voice, and every person counts! Bring a friend, bring your passion, and let’s show up loud and proud for public education!

"Investing in public education is one of the most impactful ways to shape our collective future. When we cut funding for K-12 education, we aren't just creating challenges for students, educators, and families in the present; we're also weakening the foundation of our future, limiting opportunities for innovation, and diminishing the strength of our communities. We urge our legislators to keep funding for education IN public education!” – Jill Rock, Bellevue Education Association President.

In case you missed the event last night, we were thrilled to have hundreds of people turnout! Here's a story from King5. https://www.king5.com/article/news/education/legislative-session-school-funding-crisis-town-hall-brings-together-eastside-districts/281-100e0e86-88a9-4948-ad5b-38dbebc82cfa
