The Baton Rouge Police Department would like to remind you that a cold weather advisory is in effect for our area tonight. Temperatures are expected to dip near 28 degrees in some locations.

❄️ Let water trickle from a faucet.
❄️ Make sure heat is left on and set no lower than
55 degrees.
❄️ Wrap your exposed pipes.

If you have a fireplace, keep a screen around the open flame 🔥.

If you are using a space heater, never leave them unattended. Also, keep them away from water, furniture and other flammable objects.
