A local pizzeria goes out of business and donates tomatoes, cheese, sausage and pepperoni. We put out a call to the community for dough. Art's Pizza comes through with a huge dough donation, generous partners like Jill Nalywaiko and others send funds and all of a sudden, we have enough pizza to feed 750 people. Let me be clear, we have plenty of money in our budget for dough. It's not about the money. We believe in the power of compassion, collaboration, and community. To just purchase dough would rob you of the opportunity to engage with this ministry. We are only as strong as the community. For 70 years YOU, your parents and grandparents have come through to feed hundreds of thousands of people. Every single meal feels like a miracle. Thank you! Hungry? Come down today and enjoy a fresh hot pizza straight from the oven provided by your neighbors.

When we help individuals transition from living outside to living in a shelter, group home, or affordable housing we involve our program participants, staff, and volunteers in cleaning up former encampments. This not only restores the community but also empowers those we serve to be active in the process of change. Together, we are creating a cleaner, more compassionate community while giving everyone involved a chance to contribute to something meaningful.

Thankful for our group today! They moved mattresses to our soon to be launched women with children’s shelter, switched out Winter clothing items for Summer clothing items for The Red Door, and cleaned our Administrative wing! Huge help!

Here’s a fun challenge for you... One of my favorite Chicago Style Pizzeria’s has closed in Central Indiana. Such a shame! They were generous enough to donate ALL OF THEIR food to us! What a blessing! We’ve got sauce, we’ve got cheese, we’ve got pepperoni, we’ve got sausage, the only thing we DON’T have? Pizza dough! Pre-made crusts would be WONDERFUL right now and really help us stretch this donation! Spread the word!

The Eleos Center remains open as usual for any neighbors needing to come out from the cold from 9am-6pm. Our chapel will be open after 6pm for anyone in the community in need of overnight shelter. We will continue with regular daily meals as well. Your continued generosity is as always appreciated. We have given out hundreds of coats, blankets, gloves, hand and feet warmers, and hats this Winter and simply could not have done it without you.
