DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Thunderstorms are expected to develop early this afternoon and
continue through the evening. A few storms could produce damaging winds. Lightning is a hazard in all thunderstorms
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Thunderstorms are expected across portions of the area Thursday with the potential for severe weather. Thunderstorm chances will continue for Friday, and return again early next week.

Excessive heat will also be a concern Wednesday with heat index
values between 100 and 105 for much of central Indiana.

Possibility of severe weather tomorrow. Southern part of Madison County is in a Slight risk of severe weather. Remainder of the County is in a Marginal Risk.

Key Messages for Wednesday

➔ Multiple rounds of thunderstorms are expected Wednesday afternoon through Friday
➔ Thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon and evening could be severe.

◆ Primary severe risk will be damaging winds
◆ Greatest area of concern is along and south of a Rushville, to Martinsville, to Sullivan line
● Still a risk further north, but higher uncertainty

➔ Potential high heat risk on Wednesday

Limit your time in the sun and take breaks in a cool place. Watch for symptoms of heat exhaustion and stroke. Do not ignore warning signs your body gives you. ..Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of southwestern Madison, northern Shelby, Hancock, southwestern Henry, eastern Marion and Hamilton Counties through 200 PM EDT...

At 111 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 6 miles northeast of Zionsville to Lawrence to 7 miles east of Beech Grove. Movement was northeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
