We want to extend our sincere gratitude to Governor Hochul for leading the nation in prioritizing patients, healthcare providers, pharmacies, and payers by including PBM rebate transparency in his One-House Budget. This bold move puts New York at the forefront of healthcare reform, ensuring fairness, accountability, and access to affordable medications.

We now respectfully urge the New York State Assembly and Senate to stand with the Governor and support this historic measure. Together, we can protect patients, strengthen our healthcare system, and bring much-needed transparency to PBM practices.

This is a MYTH! A minimal and much needed dispensing fee to recoup some of the costs incurred by pharmacies to fill a prescription will be charged to PBM and their shareholders, who are already reaping significant financial benefits at the patient's expense.

The New York state legislature passed PBM reform because of the unrelenting profiteering by PBMs. CVS Caremark, the largest PBM, boasted Q3 2023 revenues of more than $89 BILLION. During this period, the corporation paid out $779 MILLION to shareholders.
