We had an amazing time at today’s zine event! Huge thanks to Elizabeth Jakubowski from the for joining us and sharing the radical history of zines along with all the fantastic resources the NYS Library offers. We can’t wait to welcome her back to the in spring 2025 for more exciting programs!

Everyone enjoyed diving into DIY zine-making, creating their own unique one-page cut-and-paste zines! Stay tuned for even more zine workshops and creative opportunities in the future!

We had an incredible time at the Dr. Evan Sullivan's book talk yesterday, whose journey embodies the spirit of .

From earning his BA, MA, and PhD right here at UAlbany to returning to his alma mater to present his new book—this event was the perfect example of how education can come full circle. 🎓💜💛

And here's the best part: one of the event highlights was receiving a signed, dedicated copy of his book for the Libraries! Keep an eye out—it'll be hitting the library stacks soon. 📖✨

A huge thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this event a success, especially UAlbany's History Department and NYSWI!

Next up: Team Trivia on Monday, Sept 23 from 6-8pm in the Minerva Room! Whether you're rolling with friends or flying solo, we'll make sure you land on a team!
