Local Tourism Workshop on Destination Marketing on Disaster Recovery Program

Tourism Promotions Board of the Philippines (TPB) conducted its three-day workshop on March 23-25, 2025 at Nasugbu, Batangas.

The workshop provided tourism offices and community-based tourism organizations with the tools and knowledge necessary for the municipality's tourism recovery. By promoting local tourism products and providing feasible assistance on how to plan, regulate, monitor and manage sustainable tourism projects, it aims to create a resilient tourism sector and guarantee that our local destinations continue to prosper despite of challenges.

Group of vloggers visited Talisay, Batangas to experience its breathtaking views and rich culture! Together with Ms. Genalyn M. Barba, Chief Tourism Operations Officer, and Mr. Mark Angelo Panganiban, OIC-MDRRMO, they explored Taal Lake, visited a few tourism establishments, typhoon Kristine's Ground Zero and Brgy. Banga for the silk flower making as part of the workshop . Considering Talisay as a destination prone to disaster, they are in awe of the resiliency of the people with inspiring stories of recovery.

A courtesy visit was also made to Mayor Nestor D. Natanauan.

The Batangas Tourism Council (BTC) and the Provincial Tourism and Cultural Affairs Office (PTCAO) engaged in a fruitful collaborative session during their 1st quarter meeting, held on March 12, 2025, at The Place by Buena in Nasugbu, Batangas.

✅ Discussion about the turnover plans of the current officers as they approach the end of their term
✅ Presentation of the upcoming activities of PTCAO until June 2025
✅ Introduction of the new BaTOA President, Ms. Elsie Iyas-Sadsad of San Juan, to the council
