Today’s last day of competition. We wish one day Vientiane Rescue could also send a team to fight for the title, to fight for Laos. Next competition will be held in Hua Hin in February 2025. We need sponsors to help us send a team and compete with all the Asia nations.

We at Vientiane Rescue are incredibly grateful for the generous donation of an air conditioner from Odienmall ໂອດ່ຽນມໍ!

As you know, our primary goal is to be there for our community in times of need, responding to accidents and emergencies. But we also understand that taking care of our volunteers is essential. They selflessly give their time to make a difference, and their well-being should matter too.

This air conditioner will provide much-needed comfort for our volunteers. It will create a more comfortable environment for them to rest and relax between calls, allowing them to stay refreshed and focused when they are needed most.

A 6-year old kid drowned in a nearby pond in Vientiane this week. Drowning in Laos is a silent killer. Our team recovered the body and gave it back to the family. RIP

Our new firetruck is not only equipped with 2 electric hydraulic rescue tools, not only carries 800 liters of water and a powerful water pump that can connect to both another truck and city hydrants. It also boasts a powerful lighting system that enables us to work as if in broad daylight, significantly improving efficiency and safety for road traffic accident victims. This was particularly beneficial during an accident that occurred this week in Vientiane. Once again, thank you BFL BRED Group

When we began in 2010, many of our volunteers were inspired by online videos showcasing the heroic efforts and exceptional skills of foreign firefighters, along with the quality of their equipment. What once seemed almost unimaginable is progressively becoming reality. Two days ago, we shared the news about a shock absorber donation from K100% Shock Vientiane. Here’s the full story behind this generous gesture: T'Mor, the guy in the picture, is not just a generous donator, he's also one of our first
and hydraulic rescue specialists. That's how he knew our new fire truck needed some serious suspension improvement. He's not just donating his time and efforts to save lives. He's also donating his own shop's profits... Our volunteers are our biggest and most generous donors.

Thanks to a generous donation from BFL BRED Group, our fire department is now equipped with a new fire truck capable of handling significant loads. However, this remarkable vehicle required specialized shock absorbers to support its extra weight and ensure it can brake safely in emergencies. While it might seem like just a local shop donating these shock absorbers, there's more to this story than meets the eye. If you've been following our page, you might be able to guess the special connection behind this donation. Can anyone figure it out? Hint: it involves a familiar face. Accidents in Laos do not just happen because of alcohol consumption or reckless driving. Today, a tragic accident happened when a truck driver mistakenly accelerated instead of applying the brakes at a car wash. The car wash employee, who was waiting in front of the car on top of the platform, was hit by the truck and went through the wall behind.
Our team tried everything to resuscitate the poor kid but he didn't survive in the end.
It's sad to say that caution is always needed around every kind of situations involving engine vehicles in Laos.
Our thoughts are with the family of the deceased during this difficult time.

Thanks to the generous support of Banque Franco-Lao (BFL BRED Group), Vientiane Rescue was equipped to handle a critical situation that happened early this morning (3.00 am) in Phonekham village, Sikhottabong district. A car collision involving two women left one trapped inside the vehicle.

Our team arrived on the scene to find the victim in a precarious position. But thanks to our new battery-powered hydraulic tool, donated by Banque Franco-Lao (BFL), we were able to safely and efficiently extricate her from the wreckage, minimizing further injury to the victim.

This newly acquired equipment is a real game changer as it allows us to work faster and more effectively than ever.

We extend our deep appreciation to BFL for their great contribution! Their support directly translates into faster response times and improved outcomes for victims of road accidents.

During VIS fun fair, Neel put up a stall where he sold handmade bath salts. He decided to donate half of the proceeds to our team. The attached photo captures the moment we converted Neel's thoughtful donation into 30 liters of life-saving potential. You all probably already saw these terrible pictures on social media, showing that motorbike rider whose head was crushed under a truck in Vang Vieng. Our Vang Vieng rescue team was called to take the unfortunate victim to his last destination. The work we do often places us in challenging situations, which can be particularly hard on our team members, especially the younger ones.
