Heartbreaking .. but the weather is too bad! The only flyable day is Friday but the low cloud base compromises taskability. Saturday is windy, Sunday and Monday - rainy. No chance.
The organizers have just posted:
"Dear Pilots!
We just finished an emergency meeting to check the latest weather forecast. We are very sad but the average "taskability" is very-very low.
We could manage the situation day by day, betting on one task before Monday, but we don't want to play with you guys: the weather is bad and the Trofeo 2024 is cancelled.
The HQ will be open today until 7pm and tomorrow morning from 9 to 12.
If you are nearby you can pass to pick up your race pack.
On Thursday the daily lunch packets will be available at the HQ."

First high season just started!

Again this year, as in 2023, the carnival period, which usually marks the start of the first high season, will be very disrupted by bad weather. We expect a very rainy weekend, but the beginning of next week should offer more opportunities for pilots. We are ready to welcome you on board!
Furthermore, we would like to remind everyone to book their place on board our shuttles as soon as possible, indicating the pick-up time, location, number of pilots involved and at least one name as a reference.

Notice to citizens (and PILOTS)

⚠️ Road safety: Urgent intervention by the Province of Treviso on S.P. 140 "Strada G. Giardino".

From Monday 13th November for a duration of two weeks, the S. P. 140 "Strada G. Giardino" road will be closed to traffic (from 8.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. on weekdays) in the section from the Semonzo church to Via Col Serai, in the Campocroce locality, to allow the necessary works to restore road safety and the consolidation of the support structures at the 8th hairpin.

This means NO ACCESS BY ROAD to takeoffs STELLA & TAPETTI from the church of Semonzo.

END OF DAY FLIGHTS

Days are getting longer and late springtime afternoon flights are often requested!
Let's get organized:
We are present all day, almost every flyable days that nature can offer along the year, we are available when there are a lot of pilots around and also when pilots are just a few.
We are reachable by mobile phone almost 24/24.

If you plan a late afternoon flight, please let us know in advance (1 hour before would be nice).
We are usually on site and available until 17:00.
Our last shuttles leave Garden Relais landing 16:30/17:00 just because most of the time there are no other pilots willing to go up.
We stop when requests stop, but we need to know in advance for late afternoon flights.

A BIG THANK YOU to Airsports Montegrappa for the very appreciated meteo station at Casette takeoff.
Casette is often a tricky start place and this new meteo station is more than welcome.
There are also other webcams but useless to say that the service is inconsistent: most of the time they are down, as many of you have noticed in these past months.
