Maharashtra Women and Child Development (WCD) has introduced preventive measures for child safety from s*xual assault following the incident of s*xual assault on two minor girls at a school in Badlapur, Maharashtra. This initiative will include the introduction of an age-appropriate curriculum in schools, covering topics such as safe touch and unsafe (good-bad) touch, s*x education, child rights and duties, and online abuse, among others. These measures are a part of the initiative Saksham Balak Abhiyan (SBA), which aims to empower children by educating them about their rights, providing clear avenues for help, and fostering a safer school.
