Posted • °Asia Pacific Youth Exchange (APYE) was conducted at Phnom Penh, Cambodia between 2-10th August, 2023. One of the main objectives of the program is to improve young people's understanding of the SDG's and their role in achieving them.
°4 Students from Mizoram have been funded by Mizoram Startup Mission, Planning & Programme Implementation Department.

Four Mizo delegates attended the Asia Pacific Youth Exchange, Cambodia 2023.

Jonathan Vansuilala, Vanlalfakawmi, Lalrinfela from Hrangbana College and Lalhminghlui, a research scholar at Mizoram University were funded by the Mizoram Startup Mission under Planning and Programme Implementation Department, Government of Mizoram, after they were selected to attend the event.

A total of 83 delegates were selected to attend the event from across the Asia-Pacific. APYE aims at mobilising the youth to take action on the achievement of SDGs.

At APYE, Cambodia, two winning teams were awarded to attend the next APYE at the Philippines next year with full sponsorship, and Vanlalfakawmi was among the winning team to attend next year's APYE.

In addition to the delegates, two Mizo facilitators, H. Lalenkawli and Dr. Michael V L Chhandama were selected as Facilitators at the programme.

A dedicated mentorship program is curated to provide mentorship support to the startups from Northeast region to help them navigate their unique entrepreneurial challenges and the ever-evolving business landscape. The program will cover various aspects of Business Development and Marketing Strategy such as scaling your business, marketing go-to strategy, effective packaging solutions, leveraging seller platforms and social media channels etc.

Startups will get connected to and seek mentorship from subject experts in a series of group mentorship sessions and one-to-one sessions which will be hosted virtually in the MAARG Portal.

North East Entrepreneurship Development Program is an initiative from North Eastern Council (NEC) in collaboration with IIM Calcutta Innovation Park. As a part of this program, 270 entrepreneurs (120 early revenue + 150 idea/prototype stage) will be selected from 8 North Eastern states and will be provided incubation/pre-incubation support, mentorship and financial grants.
Details of grant - 3 Lakhs for 120 entrepreneurs in incubation,
1 Lakh for 150 entrepreneurs in pre-incubation.
Additional 7 Lakhs for top 20 in incubation, additional 4 Lakhs for top 25 in pre-incubation.
