Capt. Steinecke’s last call
On Tuesday 04/30/24, Capt. Steve Steinecke #630 had his final radio call and final walk out. Capt. Steinecke served 11 years with the Amtrak Police Department prior to serving with the Northfield Police Department for 25 years. Thank you for your dedication to serving the residents of Northfield and we wish you the best in your retirement. Your extensive knowledge and sense of humor will be missed for sure.
The consequences of driving drunk can be deadly, embarrassing, and expensive. Why risk your life, job, friends, or wallet on a drink? #DriveSober or Get Pulled Over.
The Northfield Police Department was awarded a Driver Sober or Get Pulled Over grant. We will have additional DWI patrols leading up to, and throughout the Labor Day weekend.
It’s never okay to drink and drive. This #LaborDay, we’re partnering with @NHTSAgov to encourage everyone to make the safe choice this holiday – designate a sober driver, or call a
ride-share or taxi to get you home safely.
Here’s a #SoberingStatistic: Approximately 1/3 of all traffic fatalities involve a drunk driver. If you’re drinking, don’t drive. #DriveSober or Get Pulled Over
This is Tilton Road and the plows have already made atleast one pass. We have already responded to several stuck vehicles. Please stay home if you can.
