Happy Election Day!
Happy Election Day! Polls are open from 7 am to 8 pm today, so go vote and make your voice heard!
While Mike Pike is on TV with a misleading and dishonest attack ad, we’re continuing to share a positive message about the work I’ve done for our district and working families across Iowa.
We have volunteers putting our yard signs all over the district today. Message us if you still need one!
Labor Day
I’m proud to come from a union family, proud to be fighting for workers’ rights in the Iowa Senate, and proud to have such great support from the labor movement in this campaign. Thank you to USW Local 310 for having us join you in today’s Labor Day parade.
Help us reach more voters!
Thank you to our supporters for their help. Now, let’s reach more voters over the next 11 weeks to win this race. Go to BoultonForSenate.com to donate or volunteer!
We have work to do, but we are up to the challenge. Working together, we can deliver a better deal for Iowans and build a brighter future for our state. Thank you to our Polk County Democrats for inviting me to share that vision for Iowa tonight.
Altoona voters kept bringing it up today: our public schools need to be supported and prioritized.
Let’s deliver a better deal for Iowans!
I was glad to be able to share our message about delivering a better deal for Iowans with the East Polk Democrats in Altoona last night.
Tough news for our Altoona community as over 300 local workers will be losing their jobs with the Smithfield facility closure. My heart is with those working families and I’m committed to doing all I can to make sure these workers get the support they need to get through this.
Today’s Iowa Supreme Court ruling marks a dark moment for our state. When our state should be improving access to quality reproductive health care, extremists focusing on abortion bans have achieved a six-week abortion ban and already set IVF and contraceptives as their next target. I’m running for re-election to keep fighting for Iowans and their rights because our state is better than this kind of political brinksmanship. Let’s work together for a brighter future for Iowans.
Today, Bridgestone/Firestone announced layoffs in Des Moines that will impact the lives of hundreds of Iowans. I'm committed to working with those affected, the local union, and the company on whatever we can do to make sure these workers are taken care of. That includes making sure the state resources and benefits needed to support these workers in a major transition are made available to them as quickly as possible.
As the senate debated a bill that threatens to undermine the key services provided by Area Education Agencies (AEAs) to Iowa students, I argued against the bill and in favor of an amendment I cosponsored to set up a study committee to review and strengthen our AEA system.
