I hope to be the next Ward 3 Alderman because ...
There are many important issues that will affect Clayton in the coming years. I want our wonderful neighborhoods to remain safe and friendly. I want our fantastic schools to continue delivering the best possible educational experiences. I am invested in this community for the long term, and I want to help make the decisions that will influence my f
amily's and my neighbor's lives. Born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, I attended Northwestern University (majoring in English and Psychology) and Marquette University Law School. My husband Chris and I met in college on the NU soccer fields. I worked as a prosecutor for the State of Tennessee while Chris finished medical school in Memphis. In 2004, we moved to Cleveland, Ohio for Chris’ orthopedics residency, and I worked for the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland. I also enjoyed a valuable professional experience working for two judges at the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas, writing opinions and mediating their civil litigation docket. On a daily basis, I brought opposing parties together and found an amicable resolution. Louis after Chris finished his trauma fellowship in Seattle. He is now at Barnes Jewish Hospital, and I am busy with our three children. Anna is in second grade and Jack is in kindergarten at Meramec Elementary School. Clara is enjoying the Clayton Family Center. I served as treasurer at their preschool and am actively involved at various Meramec events and in the classrooms. I am proud to be Anna and Jack’s soccer coach! During the past year, I have attended many Board of Aldermen and Clayton School District meetings. Why should you vote for me? I work very hard when I make a commitment, and I work very well with other people. As a lawyer, I endeavored to advocate for other people. I aim to be an advocate for my community. Because I have three young children, I am vested in Clayton and its future. Yes, I am confident this is a good time in my life to accept the challenges of representing Ward 3. And yes, I believe in the big picture: effective local government + outstanding neighborhoods + stellar schools + younger citizens working with seasoned leaders = the best possible community!
