If you have a vehicle parked on the road that has snow around it please move your vehicle off the roadway. You are hampering snow removal and may be ticketed. Any vehicle that has snow around it and has not been moved by tomorrow morning will be ticketed. The Burlington Police Department does not want to ticket you, so please move your vehicles. If you have a trailer parked on a roadway move immediately, they are not allowed to be parked on the roadway durning winter months. You may be ticketed for this offense also. Public Works works hard to clear our roads. A little consideration so they can do their jobs would be appreciated.

Slow down!

The City of Burlington is having problems with people dumping bags, trash, and tree branches in the compost only dumpster. The dumpster has a sign above with instructions. There is a trash can to place your bags. This dumpster is monitored by a camera. I have notified several city residents of their illegal dumping and yet it is still happening. Please follow the instructions or the Police Department will start issuing tickets. You can be fined up to $500.00. The Police Department believes this to be an avoidable offense. Just follow the instructions.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Master Officer Mitch Watne, a valued member of the Minot Police Department. Officer Watne’s dedication to serving our community will be remembered, and his absence will be deeply felt by his colleagues and friends.

We ask for your thoughts and respect for Officer Watne’s family and those who were close to him during this challenging time.
