I've watched a lot of saw piercing experts enjoy their skill over the years and I remember it baffling me slightly. First of all getting the basics right makes a real difference, but practice and relaxing into it are just as important. Once the skill becomes second nature it really does become a mindful and joyful process, promise!

The beginners course really helps to nail this skill, with shoulder roll reminders included! The next beginners' week starts on April 28th. Fancy a week's holiday anyone?

Karen made this gorgeous ring on a wax carving workshop and requested a frosted finish after casting. Frosting wheels are a great way of getting a nice satin finish but remember the safety glasses! The next wax carving workshop is on Friday 7th Feb, 10-1pm. Would you choose a frosted or a high shine finish? ✨

Tuesday's term time classes start next week and this term we have three exciting projects to delve into. These Tuesday classes run from 10-1pm and are for mixed ability learners to focus on their own creative goals, whilst being encouraged to incorporate some skills from our current projects. I cant wait to see what 12 weeks of the hive mind and experimentation brings us! A few spaces are still available, why not come and join us x

Next term there are two beginners' silversmithing courses. One is a week long and runs from the 9th to the 13th Sept and there is also the 6 week course taking place on Wednesdays, 10-2pm from the 18th September. A little bit about...

Jewellery workshops was established in 2014 by experienced jeweller Kate Hunter. Kate has qualifications in jewellery making, training and education and has written and delivered workshops in a diverse range of settings and organisations.

Kate is passionate about jewellery and about transferring her skills. This means that not only will you enjoy your day, you'll leave with a solid foundation of skills

Workshop dates are always available for you to join and can be booked on-line. Alternatively Kate regularly provides one to one tuition, tailor made workshops, hen dos, team building sessions and lots of birthday parties (including these lovely ladies in the photo)! Just get in touch and Kate will be happy to accommodate you.
